What does practical advice mean?

The “Practical Advisor at Schools” project was initiated and financed by the Saxon State Ministry of Culture and the Saxony Regional Directorate of the Federal Employment Agency and is currently being carried out in 223 schools in the state. The task of the practical advisor is to individually promote professional orientation for students in grades 7 and 8. Participation in the project is voluntary and requires the consent of students and parents.

The practice advisor...

uses a special procedure for 'potential analysis' with practical tasks in group and individual work, observes, analyzes and assesses each student individually when solving tasks as a neutral expert. uses a special computer program to create a competency profile from the test results and, based on this, coordinates the development plan the student, the parents and the class teacher and uses this as a basis for further career orientation offers. Works closely with the class teacher, the career advisor and all those responsible for career orientation. Coordinates with other actors and network partners regarding the offers at the school
