Our chronicle (as of August 2022)

1992

    Our school became a middle school in the Geising-Altenberg catchment area. Our school became a profile school (dividing technology, home economics and sports). Our school received a computer cabinet for 40,000 DM

1993

    Our first student pilot group is created in collaboration with the police and the district traffic patrol

1994

    The new gymnasium costing 4 million DM is built

1995

    A utility cabinet is built and furnished for 55,000 DM

1999

    A school library will be set up with around 500 books. Our physics cabinet will be renovated and newly furnished

2000

    125th anniversary of the Geising Middle School

2002

    Expansion of the caretaker's apartment into a modern computer cabinet for €34,000

2005

    Setting up an additional computer cabinet to ensure the implementation of the new curricula. This was supported by the media offensive of the Saxon State Ministry for Culture. EDIOS-ERDF II funding for computer equipment with EU funds from the European Regional Development Fund.

2006

    Students from Glashütte come to us

2007

    Our school building is getting a newly designed entrance area and a renovated staircase. Our school concludes a partnership agreement with the Episcopal High School in Krupka for the purpose of mutual cooperation and meetings between children and young people in the areas of sport, culture and training.

2008

    The completely renovated and modern chemistry cabinet is handed over

2009

    After more than two years of intensive collaborative project work with our partner school, the joint project “Vorderzinnwald Nature Trail” is officially opened

2011

    Our school now offers a variety of all-day programs

2012

    Extensive renovation work is beginning in our school

2013

    The “Geising Middle School” becomes the “Geising High School”

2017

    The renovation work in the new building continues, including the WTH and technical areas

2018

    The new building continues to be modernized

2019

    The renovation of the school's technical rooms is being completed. The students now have a practical advisor to help them clarify future professional questions

2021

    Floors in the school building are being renovated. The teachers and school management receive support from the school assistant position

2022

    School social work and practical advice move into the adjacent former community center. School social work creates a school club. Expansion of digitalization during the summer holidays
